Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have a quick call on the phone and I get all the specifics of your event. I curate a set list out of my song repertoire to fit, send over a one page contract and after you sign and return, we're all set. It's painless, easy and no deposit is needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
- A degree from Berklee College of Music.
- Two national U.S. tours
- Full time since '09
- Over 1,200 live performances
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
All events are unique based on location, requests, date and time length of the performance. My bare minimum rate is $750. If your budget matches this, then I'd love to work with you to create a custom quote for your event.
How did you get started in this business?
My dad was a musician when I was a little kid. I wanted to be able to keep the joy of playing music alive and share it with other people, so I went to music college and never looked back.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently performed a beautiful wedding at Pelican Hill resort in Newport Beach. I played a completey unplugged acoustic set while the guests arrived for a pre-ceremony cocktail hour. The guests talked and laughed together near the ocean
I played "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You"acoustically on my guitar as bride walked down the aisle. After their first kiss I played "Here Comes the Sun" as they both happily exited as husband and wife.
I played another set as they ate dinner at a gorgeously decorated table while the sun set. This was the first time the family had hired live entertainment before and they said they could not have been happier. Several guests, the mother of the groom, the groom himself and even the photographer talked about how much they enjoyed the music.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
- Make sure they have a professional looking website
- Look for customer feedback and read them carefully to see where they really excel and if that's what you're looking for
- Don't hire anyone who doesn't have a video or audio
- A degree is not needed but always a plus when it comes to music
- Listen to the way the pro talks when they respond to you; are they just chasing a lead and looking for a dollar or do they actually care about you and your event?
- Consider the genre and style they perform; not all performers are the same
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
- Does the venue require performers insurance?
- Do I need a generator or do I have a nearby power outlet for the performer to plug their sound system into?
- Am I able to provide a parking spot for the performer?
- Am I able to provide food/drink?
- Is there a dedicated space for the performance area?
