About

Hello! My name is Logan, and I love being a DJ. Nothing makes me happier than when I'm behind my decks, spinning. I started DJ'ing professionally when I was 14 years old and haven't looked back since.

I work as both a DJ for hire, and I also produce a teenage dance club called Club Dance Electric (CDE) periodically at different venues throughout Southern California.

I've DJ'd just about every type of party and event, including weddings, house parties, birthday parties (from 5 - 90+), 70's, disco, 80's, Bollywood/Hindi pop, school graduation parties, country, Quinceanera, middle school, high school, New Year's Eve, family and school reunions, chili cook-offs, backyard BBQs, charity events, City events, festivals, carnivals and corporate events. Let me help take your party to the next level and make it a truly memorable shin-dig!

I hope I get the chance to spin for you!

I LOVE making people happy. It's a wonerful thing to be a DJ. You get to read people and give them exactly what you know will make them happy. I really get into it and 'perform' like an artist when I DJ. It's so much more than just playing song after song. I enjoy the creativity of choosing the music I think will work best, cycling the crowd on the dance floor to make sure that everyone is having fun, and also mixing the songs together in creative ways. In a lot of ways, it is like scoring the music to a movie. You get to tell a story and bring the audience with you.

    Frequently asked questions

When I get a new customer, typically we have a phone call to get to know each other a bit and to understand what kind of vibe they want to set for their event, go over music preferences, etc. If it's a wedding, high school prom, or other larger, special event, often we'll get together to discuss the particulars.

I've been JD'ing professionally since January 2014 and have done over 150 gigs so far (as of Sept-2018), about half of which were wedings and the rest having been house parties, birthday parties (from 5 - 90+), 70's, disco, 80's, Bollywood/Hindi pop, school graduation parties, country, Quinceanera, middle school, high school, New Year's Eve, family and school reunions, chili cook-offs, backyard BBQs, charity events, City events, festivals, carnivals and corporate events.

I have various audio and lighting packages and many optional accessories available. My prices are based on which packages and accessories (if any) you choose. My minimum fee is $350 for 3 hours.

    Audio Packages:
    -Elite: $350 for 1st 3 hrs then $60 / hr
    -Premium: $400 for 1st 3 hrs then $70 / hr
    -Festival: $550 for 1st 3 hrs then $90 / hr

    Lighting Packages:
    -Elite: $125 per event
    -Premium: $160 per event
    -Festival: $410 per event

For events that require more prep time and significant coordination, like weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, high school proms, homecoming dances, etc, the prices may be higher. For example, weddings are typically an additional $200 over my standard prices. For venues that already include all the audio and lighting equipment that you need, the price for my time is the same as for the Elite Audio Package.

I've always been into music. When my folks hired a DJ for my older sister's sweet 16 party, I sat with him the whole time. He showed me some things and let me mix some songs. I loved it! When I asked my folks the next day how much they had paid him ($450), I decided to become a DJ myself.

I started do everything I could around the house and neighborhood to raise money to buy some used DJ gear on Craigslist. I built a website and Faceobok page and started advertising on Craiglist and Nextdoor.

Little by little, gigs started coming in. I got lots of referrals from prior clients, and my business just grew and grew to the point where I am averageing more than one gig a week, which is pretty busy for a senior in high shcool (and in the marching band, which basicaly kills most of my Fridays and many Saturdays - prime DJ days - between August and November) as I write this in Sep-2018.

I've worked my many different types of customers, including couples getting married, event coordinators, venue coordinators, parents throwing a party for their kids, large event producers, city staff who are coordinating city-wide events, a spouse throwing a party for their significant other, etc. I have also DJ'd for a wide array of cultural events, including many Hispanic, Indian, and Filipino parties.

There are so many events that have stood out for me, including the Simi Days Carnival and Parade where I DJ'd for 12 hours each that Saturday and Sunday for thousands of people, the Ventura Wine Walk and Champaigne on Main events every Spring and Fall, a crazy wedding after-party that went until 2a after I had just DJ'd the wedding that ended at 9p but the bride and groom and their friends were not redy to be done, the 'Bandcoming' dances for my marching band every year, but I would ave to say that the events I get the most excited about are the big school dances, whether middle school or high school.

My advice for people loooking to hire a DJ is to find someone who you are comfortable talking with and who is very experienced and familiar with the music you want played but most importantly will listen to what you want and create the vide you're looking for. The biggest complaint clients have about DJs is that they tend to play the music that they want to hear, not necessarly what the client wants. On an administrative front, it's very important that your DJ has a business license and, especially, is insured (min of $1 million).

No matter what the event, you want a DJ who is experienced, reliable and professional and who is very familiar with the music you want played and the vibe you want to set and who will listen to what you want and deliver that. Other than those items, probably the most important question to ask yourself before hiring a DJ is whether you want the DJ to stand out or blend in.
