Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a consultation with my new customer. It is important that the customer and I we are a good fit musically, and that we are able to supply the experience the customer is asking for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a DJ for 20 years both professionally and casually at a variety of events.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have Wedding packages that start at $650 for a 4 hour time block.
My party packages are $150 and hour, with a minimum of 2 hours.
The website has has a complete price list.
How did you get started in this business?
I have DJ’d my families parties since I was 8 years old, and I have had a passion for it ever since. Family and friends began to ask for me to DJ their events, so I figured this could be a good business to start.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Brides, Corporate event organizers, Wedding Coordinators, Birthday party organizers (the Birthday person or family member)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a very fun wedding reception. I took care of the sound for the ceremony, and transitioned to MC, music, and microphones for the reception.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to take in consideration the type of music you want at your event. My music expertise goes beyond Top 40 that is played on the radio all day. I am called DJ Deja Vu because I like to play those songs that “take you back..”
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Do you take requests?
Can you send a sample playlist?
