We provide a relaxed, friendly, hip environment for all our clients to enjoy, in Woodbridge CT. We have been in business for 28 years. We really care about everyone's needs and go to great lengths to be sure you will enjoy your visit to our salon, leaving looking and feeling good. We continually educate ourselves on the latest fashion trends for hairstyles and coloring designs. We always make sure to teach our clients on how to recreate their look at home so they feel confident.
We provided hair loss resolutions due to hereditary or medical conditions, as well as, for pure fun and pleasure. We offer intergated hair systems, wigs, extensions add on hairpieces along with home care products. Our team provides services to all hair types. We have specialists in color, fine and curly hair. We also offer, waxing, nails, hand applied tanning and other wellness services. We have a great selection of vintage and contemporary jewelry and accessories, all one of a kind!
Team members have been selected to participate in regional events to showcase their work. We also volunteer our time to, Look Good Feel Better a workshop for women undergoing chemo therapy, to teach them how to apply make up and correct side effects due to their treatment.
WE hold an annual fundraiser every October called Pampered in Pink to raise money for breast cancer research, in hopes one day women will no longer be effected by this check us out on our website www.progressionshairsalon.com

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Guests may schedule appointments and at that time will receive a consultation. In those circumstances when a consultation prior to your services is recommended, we will schedule a time convenient for you, to meet with us.
New guests to our salon, receiving color are requested to stop in for a patch test to assure no allergies, according to manufactures guidelines.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Everyone continues their education, in all facets of hair and color design. Workshops and education for new hair loss solutions are also a part of the curriculum.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We have tiered pricing. This pricing is determined on the individual's skill level. Though someone may be at a lower tiered pricing, does not mean, you will not receive a quality service, it just means they may not provide all services at this level. As they gain education and experience, they will be promoted to the next tier. We profile all our guest's hair needs so we may pair them to the stylist that will best suit their hair needs.
How did you get started in this business?
I met my husband, he was my barber, I remember saying" your field of work looks like so much fun, I think I would like to look into working in the beauty industry" So I did.... Love every minute of it, still!!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Guests of all ages and hair needs visit our salon, from teens, parents and some grandparents.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
We recommend seeking out a stylist's that listens to what you are looking for and are able to create a look that is suitable for your lifestyle.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
They should ask, what is the maintenance their style/color/texture service will require. This will provide them with the financial information necessary to maintain this service. Anyone who does not have the time to maintain their chosen look, will only result in their unhappiness in the long run.
