About
Boutique couture design house offering custom designs and alterations.
I come from a line of master seamstresses and tailors going back several generations. A disciplined commitment to the craft of tailoring, design and service is coded in my DNA.
I developed a service called ReUpStyle. It is a sustainable approach to fashion offing styling consultation, alterations, redesigning and repurposing the customer's garment or acquiring high-end worn pieces.
Empowering people to frame the story they tell of themselves. From custom designs for a couple getting married to bringing new life to a favorite coat with new lining and accessories, the thrill of helping people show up in the world in a way that makes them feel good is my biggest incentive.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first and critical step when working with the designer or seamstress from EmmaEffa is the consultation. We listen, take notes and ask questions to ensure an experience and product worthy of you trust , your time and your money. Depending on the products and services agreed upon, we get to work and you return for fittings and/or pick up at a specified date.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained with a master seamstress. I was raised in a family that has produced seamstresses and tailors for five generations. I am a self-taught embroiderer, knitter and crochet artisan.
