Events are very private and unique for each client.  After an initial conversation - often via email or phone call - we share our published price lists with prospective clients (we like to be upfront) then we follow up with a meeting.  Since 2020, initial meetings have been via Zoom, allowing for very flexible meeting times.  With the extent of our services, not all of our services are listed on our price list and often guests have more personal wishes that don't fit directly into a 'package' price listing anyhow - this is where our value shines most.  With our variety of offerings, we are able to have an honest conversation with you to discuss your personal event vision and your specific event needs.  Booking your celebration or event with 84 West Events will be the reward you give yourself and the experience you have been hoping for!

Our owners, managers and some staff attend special training at seminars and industry conferences annually.  Conferences like "The Special Event", "BizBash", "Wedding MBA", "Photo Booth Expo", "The DJ Expo", "Imaging USA" and "IAAPA" provide specific education and trends that affect every aspect of the events we do.  Often new trends and new technology are introduced at these conferences and we bring those home to share with our staff and to enhance our offerings to our clients.  With 84 West Events, your event will always be current and up to date with the best experiences available.

For our core sevices, DJ - Video - Photo - Lighting - Photo Booth - we have standard packages in published prices lists.  However no two events are exactly alike.  Using our standard packages as an entry point, there are many other items and details that we can offer to our prospects in order to customize their experience and keep within their budgets.  It is literally impossible to list every possible combination without providing context.  A conversation, not an email or text, is the only way to really understand our clients wishes and needs.  Events are too personal to simply click on an option and buy.  Events are too personality based.  Our clients fall in love with how personal our relationships develop with them as we lead up to and follow-up with their events.  That is why we are one of fewer than a handful of event companies or services that has been in business for over 4 decades and is still puting smiles on peoples faces!

Founded in 1979 by Jeff Greene, we started as a DJ Business when Disco was in its prime.  Jeff was a chanmpion Disco dancer and with his love for music (and gadgets) he realized he could be the DJ AND teach people how to dance disco at parties.  His style became known internationally as an "Interactive DJ", where DJ's are able to be as engaging as a live band (that dominated events at the time), while providing the original music by the original artists by playing records.  Jeff's company was one of only 20 incorporated in the entire state of Florida in 1979.  His personality and his skill at training new talent allowed the company to grow quickly to become the #1 requested DJ business in Florida.  As video started to become an option at weddings in the mid 1980's, Jeff saw the opportunity and brough on a Video partner enabling the business to offer more value to prospective clients.  Jeff met and married his wife Debbi, whose father was a Professional Photographer in New York.  With his help, the company added Professional Photography to the mix - again providing more value for clients.  Lighting has always been a part of the business, however in the early 2000's - with technology advancements - lighting took on a whole new meaning at events and 84 West made the appropriate investments - again adding more value.  By 2009 technology once again allowed Photo Booths to make an entry into the event scene and we got in on day one.  All the while, with our multiple services on most of our events, we provided coordination that became the basis for the Day-Of planning services.  But the story doesn't end there, as we approach our 5th decade we continue to invest in our clients experiences.  We offer so much more than those core services and with conversation we assist our clients in bringing together almost everything they desire to make their celebrations and event - One Of A Kind!
