About

Instagram: @dmitri.tattoos

With being in the tattoo business for only 3 months as an apprentice, I have progressed gradually and done about 25 tattoos. My favorite part of tattooing is seeing the customer satisfied with their tattoo and learning something new about tattooing, myself, is always a bonus. I have always loved art and expanded my knowledge on the subject through art classes and experimentation. Now, I draw on people! It's a really fun and educating experience. I love what I do at Age of Ink and strive to become a skilled tattoo artist.

Frequently asked questions

With a new tattoo client,I inform them of my availability and tattoo pricing for the tattoo selected. Once the session is scheduled, they go through the usual routine of signing documents on the day of the tattoo, and before we start I always make sure to ask their pain tolerance and let them know they can take breaks as needed.

Throughout high school I have taken art classes, to name a few: advanced placement 2D studio art and design as well as AP 2D studio art drawing. Aside from that I am self taught and experiment with art as much as I can as I have been for 10 years.

As a tattoo apprentice, I have a set of tattoos as assignments to practice specific tattoo styles and any tattoo in that set is free. Any personally chosen tattoo outside of that set is 25% of what it would initially cost.

I'm currently in a tattoo apprenticeship.

I've worked with people of all types of skin tones and older folk.

I am fond of a recent black work tattoo I did and my addition to the tattoo that brought it to life. I added dotwork around the tattoo which unified the whole piece and made it look much cleaner as a tattoo.

I would ask them how much they know about machines, mixing colors, and creating pigments. Also, how they set up  and break down their station if you want to check how clean and safe they present their station to clients.

How much the tattoo would be and why, how long the session is, which areas hurt more versus other areas, and ask about aftercare once the tattoo is finished even though they will more than likely tell you. Also, ask for their socials/contact information in case of any questions during the healing process.
