About
Interactive dj who from experience (as many as 94 events a year at one time) knows how to make an event classy, memorable and fun. I have any type of music desired and have a vast music library along with a light show. I know how to energize a crowd and when to get out of the way and let events flow. I dj many school dances so I keep current with new music and dj assisted living events with big band, Rat Pack, etc. I work to keep a full dance floor and usually can read a crowd quickly and react. I work to make a bride's wedding day the dreams she had for it to be. I work with clients and offer input but allow them to make the final decisions. I was a high school, college speech/english teacher by profession. I have djed events in Chicago/St. louis and many cities outside my main work area. You get me when you hire me, not someone else. I get by customers from those who have seen me or recommend me, not advertising.
Nothing pleases me more than to see people at my event having a great time and walking by at the end of the event and telling me, "You were awesome." Making someone's day special is what this is all about. I love to hear the clients say, Thank you so much for making this day/event so special" or someone at the event coming up and asking me for a business card.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Collecting information about what their needs are and seeing if we both think I would be a good fit for their event. I offer them opportunities to have them watch me work events if they are not familiar with my work. I explain the process and what are some of trademarks and receive their input as to what they would be interested in. I ask for a MUST PLAY list of songs, a DO NOT PLAY list and PLEASE PLAY if time permits. I give them suggestions of what has worked in the past.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started djing while a student in high school, I paid my way through college doing dj work and have progressed through vinyl, cassette tapes, cds, digital and extended light show to LED/lazer lights learning by experience and working and watching other djs work to see what works for them. I subscribe to a DJ service for $500.00 a year to download music weekly in whatever music genre can be imagined. I read Billboard and other trade periodicals and until covid would attend at least 50 concerts a year. And I listen to my clients and what they have seen and like. I also got to introduce and work with Frankie Valli and the four Seasons, Conway Twitty, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bobby Goldsboro, and others early on.
