Chef Mike's is a direct descendant of the original Cajuns that landed on the banks of St. Martinville, Louisiana in 1755 from the Canadian provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. They brought with them values of Faith, Family and Community creating a unique culture of food, music and dance. At a very early age, Chef Mike learned and developed both Cajun and Creole Cuisines from both of his grandmothers and fortunately both of his great grandmothers, women by there own vitality and longevity allowed him to touch his past and savoring the present and carrying his ancestry for generations to come. To honor them, Chef Mike as name some of his original dishes after them. Chef Mike has been in the hospitality in Industry for 30 + years and has become one of the most highly consumer rated chefs in the State of Louisiana. Chef Mike has held positions of Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine for some very noteworthy Restaurants. Chef Mike is the author of the soon to be release cook book called, " From Cajun Mike's Kitchen," Chef Mike's also has hosted a national syndicated radio show called, Cooking with Cajun."
