Beauty Refined
About
I have always loved making people happy. Whether it was a special gift, a kind compliment, or giving someone a style that boosts their confidence, that is what has always brought me joy.
I didnt intend on being a lifelong hairstylist, I simply wanted my family to stop nagging me as to "what I wanted to do with my life" once I graduated high school. If I had known the amazing places it would take me, the incredible people I'd meet, or the experiences to come, I would've definitely been a bit more enthusiastic about it.
I find great reward in turning a bride around to see herself in the mirror on her wedding day, or the shock on a clients face when they've gone from dark brown to blonde. Elation is a term I often use to describe my clientele, no one leaves my chair unhappy. That is a promise I make to each client (whether they know it or not).

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we'll have a conversation over the phone to determine what the details are. A single bride? A color and cut? A wedding party if 12? Are you interested in hair and makeup or just one or the other? Then I'll usually have my client send me current photo to see their face/eye shape, skin, eye color, hair color, etc. Depending upon the service, we either meet to complete the job or to do a pretrial.
In general, I think the entire interaction from start to finish is all about good communication. Most clients say they feel as though they're talking to a friend when we meet. Your friend would never lead you astray when asked if your hair looks good or if your butt is too big, and I am that exact one!
