I work with Bride and family members to give them the style, flowers and vision they want.
The difference is that I can manage to any budget. I work with several Wholesalers on the East coast so I have great pricing and can provide any flowers needed.
My talent comes from education, and working as a Floral Manager and learned exactly what is needed to create anything with flowers.
My simple website is only a very small portion of my Portfolio, I have been asked to provide a wreath of flowers presented at the Tomb of the Unknown soldier in Arlington National Cemetary, it was my most prescious and favorite floral design.
My experience is over many years and I continue to learn as much as I can at a local college and tutuorials. I love to find new ways to make flowers in differen styles and containers that make flowers come alive.
When I hand the bride her bouquet for the first time. It's my favorite part. I love weddings and I love to make beautiful flowers for the wedding guests as well. I think of how many events that I provided flower arrangements and watching people take the flowers from the table. The looks on their faces when they pick it up to take it home, makes me feel pretty happy.

Working flowers design, so many weddings and events. Continuing education at a local college - currently working on the classes CFD and ultimately AIFD.

I do have standard pricing which are standard Pricing Guidelines.
I work with each bride based on the budget.
So most of my pricing is driven by the budget.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always been a designer and learned from my grandparents gardening and using the flowers in design.
I made flowers for everyone, as gifts and special events, weddings.
Floral Manager for two major retailers and learned everything from purchasing and sales, to design and arranging...just like a florist.
I started my own small business.
Enrolled in classes to use everything I've learned to obtain my CFD certification and am still enrolled in classes for everything offered.
I started teaching friends, family and previous assistants that I've worked with in the past. Mostly because we share the passion for working with flowers and they make the best staff because they know how I work and what is expected, perfection. I love that they love what we do.
I learn so much from social media and designers all over the world...I work along side of them while they teach me how to do what they do best. I love the experience of seeing new techniques and mediums used.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with all types of customers for various resources. I have worked people that were recommendations from previous brides and through other social media.
I work with young Military Brides and Grooms, I extend discounts to them for their service.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A lovely couple that wanted flowers for their Wedding, the bride is a Shaman Healer so if was a ceremony unlike anything I had done before. She gave me complete creative freedom. The only request was using Feathers. Peacock feathers and natural elements like drift wood and candles and water. Some of the flowers used were removable succulants so that the guests could replant them. It was so different and I actually received a standing ovation at the ceremony from the guests. All the elements were based on the tradition and I needed to learn about the culture to understand what would be meaningful, it was a true success. Truly beautiful people and the results were all the elements that reflect Earth, Wind, Fire and natural elements. Very special day and it taught me that we are unlimited in resources to learn what will work best if you tap the resources and really understand what this bride and groom really want people to experience for their special occasion.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be prepared with what you want your vision to be and be prepared to provide a budget. I often tell a bride to tell me what you will be within your budget to spend. So many flowers to choose from to meet any budget. It's easier to provide a vision with and specific likes and dislikes. My best work is knowing what the bride wants and making what she expects it to be and then I can exceed the expectations.
