Hi, I go by the name, DJ Creativity. I am the Founder and CEO of Boss Playa Productions - Wedding DJ Service since 2003 and Pro DJ for Carnival Cruise Lines. Although I'm from Charlotte, NC, I recently relocated to Winston-Salem, NC from Savannah, GA. I strive to provide customers of Winston-Salem, and surrounding areas top-quality DJ services for elegant party-style Wedding Receptions throughout North and South Carolina. I also specialize in DJ Services for School Dances and Corporate Events, to Sweet 16 Birthdays, 70s–80s Themed Parties and Reunions. I am also fully insured.
The backbone of my DJ experience is my passionate love for music and knowing that God has blessed me with the ability to make people happy through music.
What makes me stand out from other DJs is my unique ability to mix and blend songs from a variety of genres while interacting with guests to ensure that they have a great time at your event. I am a crowd controller and reader so whether it's 10, 20, or 1000 people, I can get your guests dancing until they sweat, LITERALLY! If you're looking for quality over price alone, I am your guy.
Let me tell you this; If Carnival Cruise Lines trusts me to entertain more than 3000 guests throughout their vacation on a ship, you can rest assured that if you choose to hire me, you'll be getting one of the most experienced DJs in the USA.
I am an "open format" DJ, which means I entertain diverse crowds with the hottest dance music, such as the latest radio tunes, EDM, Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae, Country, Pop, Latin music, Bollywood, Motown, 70's & 80's classics and much more!
***To my Latin family*** Although I don't speak Spanish fluently yet, I am very familiar with many Latin genres of music, especially Reggaeton, Merengue, Bachata, Salsa, Cumbia, Banda, Norteño, Mambo, and Dembow.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As soon as you book me, I will roll up my sleeves and help you customize your wedding celebration to be exactly how you envision it to be. The playlist of songs I can put together for you is a no-brainer so I got you on your song requests, line dances, etc. I also interact with everyone to get the party going!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self-taught DJ that has performed on radio stations (WPEG Power 98 FM, WGIV, iHeart Radio, and The Bomb Charlotte). I'm also a former Pro DJ for Carnival Cruise Line.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I can't give you an exact price until I know all of what you need for your event. I can tell you that weddings I've done over the past year have ranged between at $949 and $1699, depending on specific needs and requests of each wedding couple. Non-Weddings have ranged between $350 and $900, depending on the needs of the event.
Once I know more about what you need I can draft a proposal based on those details.
How did you get started in this business?
In this new world of technology, there are so many DJ's to choose from, which makes it more challenging to find a good quality DJ.
I have personally witnessed inexperienced or low budget DJ's literally ruin a wedding or an important event. Having witnessed moments like this inspired me to do something about it. In 2003, I launched Boss Playa Productions to make sure that brides get the wedding celebration she's always dreamed of.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
If you're looking for a quality professional DJ that can have your guests talking about how much fun they had at your event, don't just get caught up on price alone.
As I stated before, with so many DJs out there to choose from, I strongly suggest you do your research on the experience level and professionalism of the DJ before hiring.
