About
Hello. My name is Steve Jusko and I am the owner/founder of Soundworks Productions. It is my belief that I have the best job in the world. The reason is because I'm at one of your best days in your life. I pride myself on listening to my customer's needs and wants. Mixed with my 20+ years of experience, I have successful parties. I have traveled all throughout the Tri-State area. My music library is up to date. I belong to the same music services the radio stations belong to. It's nice because I know I have all radio edited music and it's clean. I look forward to hearing about your special day.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We can meet face to face, email or text
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a Communications / Theatre Major
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, I have several packages to offer. Pricing varries on Date of event, time of affair and distance to travel.
How did you get started in this business?
I worked as a Maitre D at a local caterer and saw many DJs pass though our doors. Some were excellent and others were horrible. I watched and learned from the good and the bad. One day I decided to start buying equipment. The rest is history.
What types of customers have you worked with?
What a weird question. Types? I guess the best way to answer this is to say I've worked with all walks of life. I've been there for 100th Birthdays, Baby Christenings, Funerals (yes, funerals) Weddings, Anniversaries, Fund Raisers, Birthday Parties, etc..
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I did a Wedding this past April for a family I met at a 50th Birthday Party 10 years ago. This Wedding was special because it was the last of their 5 children's Weddings. After the 50th Birthday Party, I did all 5 of the Weddings, 3 more surprise parties and 2 christenings. I've been at all of their major lifes events. There is no better reward than to be such a part of a famlies life.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you express your needs. Don't just let them try to dazzle you with fast talk. Find out about a DJs set up. How well do they handle volume levels in a room? Do they dress professionally? Make sure they have a great music library (not just trying to stream spotify or youtube. (I've seen nightmares with this). Do they know how to read a room?
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Their budget. Cheap DJs are usually just that. But being expensive doesn't mean they are better either. (it may just mean they have a lot of overhead). Talk to them, feel them out.
