About
With over 20 years of experience in music, radio, entertainment, and event production, I’ve built my career around more than simply playing music—I create experiences and connections. My background includes DJing, radio programming and production, hosting, interviewing, emceeing, event planning, and teaching, as well as building my own brand and the Young Starr Movement.
Over the years, I have provided entertainment for weddings, corporate events, public and community events, private celebrations, and a wide variety of audiences. I work across musical genres and generations, serving people of all ages, backgrounds, and musical tastes. That range has taught me that no two crowds are the same.
One of my strongest skills is my ability to read people, adapt quickly, and understand the energy of the room. I bring a strong, engaging, contagious energy while still knowing how to adjust my approach to the people and environment in front of me. Whether I’m working with a corporate audience, a wedding celebration, a community event, young people, or an older generation, I know how to meet people where they are and create an experience that feels authentic and inclusive.
Teaching is also an important part of what I do. I enjoy sharing the knowledge and experience I’ve gained throughout my career and helping others develop their own skills, confidence, and creativity.
Through the Young Starr Movement, I’ve also brought purpose to my platform through advocacy, empowerment, and community engagement. What makes my work stand out is the combination of experience, versatility, adaptability, and genuine connection. I don’t just show up and perform—I bring an energy people can feel, connect with, and remember.
