Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We explore your needs and create a custom quote for you. Our goal is to build an event that matches your vision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Experienced DJ that constanlty listens to music. For DJ events, we work with you to build Must Play, Play if Possible, and Do Not Play lists. With that information, a great set list is created for the celebration.
Decor and Venue lighting design, sound reinforcement for ceremonies, and attention to detail in planning create great memories.
With 40+ years as an independent wedding photographer and photo journalist, photo booths were a natural progression for the business.
Professional gear and attendants bring you the best results.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Rates are based on complexity for the event. We have some flat rate baselines but build each quote to match the uniqueness of the event.
How did you get started in this business?
Passion for the arts along with a life in the hospitality industry allowed me to create a dream job.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We stopped counting after 1,500 events. Celebrations are held for almost any reason. Baby showers, birthday parties, quinceaneras, sweet 16s, proms, school dances, weddings, campus events, corporate retreats and milestones, holiday parties - both private and corporate, reuions, bar and casino venues, and retirements are just a few of the functions we've served.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
At a black tie wedding, the mother of the bride was concerned that a photo booth wouldn't be "classy". Working with the couple, a glam filter was added to bring that little extra spark to the black and white images.
Everyone loved them and the Mom thanked me afterwards for making the reception so much better.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are up to the task. Meaning make sure they are vetted in the type of event you are looking to host.
Experience in general, and experience with your theme are important. After that, it's all about whether you trust, and feel comfortable with, the vendor.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
The goal of the event and how it will be structured. The default question is always "How Much?". But price doesn't allow you to compare services.
The real questions should be about how the vendor can help you achieve or exceed your vision.
