Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, usually an email. then a phone call ....then set up a time to meet. But, it's whatever the potetial client wants. I'm good with that!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a professional radi DJ for 25 years so, the transition was natural.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Standard pricing is a bit misleading since most events are not the same. I like to get as much information as i can to give a more accrate quote, that way there are no "surprises". But whatever the customer feels comfortable with...I'm good with that.
How did you get started in this business?
Always loved music and seeing people have fun! Got my degree in communications and started my career on radio which lead me to this business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All kinds! I have done weddings for actresses and political people and many prominent families in my area.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Being the DJ for a 65th wedding anniversary. Very touching and a little emotional. I felt like part of the family. It was an honor to be at that event.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask questions. Look at references and most of all...experience! Remember, experience counts!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What mood do they want to set for their event? What type of music. I always mention to clients that, if they like a certain type of music, say country and rock...they have to remember that they have guests who may not want to hear that all night...they need to get guests involved by playing a variety of music.
