DJ Muddy Taylor

Hey, I'm Muddy Taylor, a New York-based DJ with over a decade of experience behind the decks. I got my start in Philadelphia, where I played The Foundry at The Fillmore, World Café Live, MilkBoy, and Underground Arts, and held residencies at Saint Lazarus Bar, Bourbon & Branch, and Max Rex. Since then I've taken my sound to Atlanta (A3C Festival, Union EAV, TenATL) and Washington, D.C. (Velvet Lounge). In 2023 I made New York home, and I've been rocking rooms like Café Kitsuné, Lilli Star, Pianos, Little Rebel, The Naked Pig, Old Flings, and Sauce Restaurant.

What it's like working with me: I'm an open-format DJ, so I'm not locked into one lane. I move between Hip Hop, R&B, Afrobeat, Dancehall, Amapiano, Club Music, and House, and I build each set around your event, your crowd, and the energy you want. I've played everything from packed nightlife venues to corporate activations and community events, so I know how to adapt, whether you want a high-energy dance floor or a smooth background vibe. You can expect a professional, easygoing experience from the first conversation to the last song.

Why I'll do an excellent job: I have a deep passion for sound and a sharp instinct for reading the room, so I know when to build the energy, when to switch it up, and how to keep people moving. I've provided music for The Block Gives Back and for brand events with New Balance, Red Bull, and Lululemon, so I understand what it takes to represent a brand or a cause while still giving guests a great time.
