Beauty Studio B

Every new and existing client at Beauty Studio B recieves an in depth, complementary consultation before any services begin. Consultations are the ground work for a great service for several reasons. It allows a new client to be sure they have found the right stylist for them. Consistant and quality consultations help stylist and client communicate not only what the client is looking for in the service but also gives the stylist the chance to make sure the service is right for the client, their needs, budget, lifestyle and long term goals. 

Stylist Bethany Askew, was trained and completed 2300 hours of schooling in Portland Oregon. She has been in the industry 8 years and as an advanced stylist and salon owner she provides all Beauty Studio B services menu items. Bethany is certified in advanced accelerated waxing services through EDGAR RENEE and is a trained and certified education ambassitor for HAIRTALK extensions. 

Danielle Durbin, was trained at the Paul Mitchel Hair school of Columbus and completed 1500 hours of schooling. She is our Senior Stylist at Beauty Studio B and provides hair, waxing and nail services. Dani is also certified in advanced accelerated waxing by EDGAR RENEE and is currently furthering her education in other trending salon services that will soon hit the Beauty Studio B service menu. 

Our third stylist will be joining us in August and we are looking forward to anouncing her. Stay tuned.

Here at BSB we have devolped a unique pricing system to keep pricing fair for all of our clients. We price all hair services by length, with levels 1-4+. Level 1 is a short style like a pixie cut. Level 2 would be a jaw length style while level 3 is shoulder length. Level 4 is any length past the shoulders and 4+ tould be below the shoulder blades. Clients are charge for the length they are when starting the appointment. All of our listed prices are a starting price and vary for extra thick dense hair. Pricing is always stated and transparent at the time of consultation. 

Beauty Studio B originated in Portland Oregon by owner Bethany Askew. Bethany moved to Ohio in 2014 and seeing the need for advanced current beauty services reopened shop in our lovely, referbished 1800 something building in Mount Vernon. 

BSB has a large demographic and a long logistical reach for clientele. Working with clients working and attending the local colleges, to traveling business people, to multigenerational families, to Brides and bridal parties large to small. We have a service for everyone. 

We love all of our clients. But the day we opened The Vine Suite Mount Vernon and the first VIP bridal party we had in the venue was a very special day. As the bride and maids made their rounds, getting hair and make up done they were pampered, comfortable and able to spread out. Their photographer was able to catch photo after photo of their experiance and we were honored to be apart of the brides big day. 

A beauty proffessional is an artist with a unique talent, eye and style. Take your time and find the RIGHT stylist for YOU. Everytime, every appointment shoud be preceeded by a consultaition wether it is your first or fortieth with the same stylist. Your taste changes, your look changes, and both client and stylist should be on the same page BEFORE color or sheers start flying. 

Also, ask questions. You should know what product you should be using, why, how, and when. You should know what to do at home to help your style last and look great everyday and how to care for it to achieve your long term goals.

"What is your standard availability?" It is improtant that you know their working schedule works with yours before you fall in love with their work. 

"What do I want?" Backing you your thoughts with pictures is the best way to communicate with your stylist.
