We are an established, travel anywhere Big Band or Jazz Combo with an impressive list of venues (including Presidential inauguration's) extensive songbook, tuxedo clad a-list musician's with excellent reviews. Lead singer (sounds like Sinatra) the award-Winning entertainer Lou Dottoli knows how to please an audience. The former model/actor is a real audience draw and crowd pleaser.
Our musicians create the music and our singers interpret it as the song writers intended. That combination is both magical at times and often euphoric as the on-stage musician both energize and excite the audience and then feed off that same energy. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
While I don't mind communicating via email etc. I much prefer speaking on the phone because I can quickly answer all your questions saving valuable time you need to meet your specific needs. Next, I create a contract so you can lock us in for your event date and time. Without it, we are free to book another event. Unlike other entertainers that get 50% upfront, we ask only for a 20% deposit to hold the date.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied voice, specifically Sinatra's voice with Laurence Bogue of The Juilliard School. I have experience from night clubs to 5000 seat Concert venues. The musicians in my band are at the top of their game and freelance with the best bands in the country when our schedule permits. 609-314-5013
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Great question. We can easily book (soup to nuts) per event or by time in increments of 30 minutes to hourly. This way we are always affordable for every event type so don't hesitate to ask. In addition to live band events, we also book track dates (our most affordable option) with our lead singer Lou Dottoli. All equipment is provided and self contained. The background tracks are professional orchestrations previously recorded in a sound studio. If you closed your eyes you would think our entire band was playing. 609-314-5013
How did you get started in this business?
Quite by accident or fate. I heard Frank Sinatra on the radio and decided to take professional voice lessons for fun. Doing so opened doors to a modeling and acting career. Before I knew it people were offering me money to put their events together and perform live. I toured with a big band for several years to gain stage experience and the rest is history. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I cannot stress this enough to my potential customers. Please do not always go for the lowest price. You will most certainly get what you've paid for. Most, but not all bands, singers and entertainers are in this business part time and just gig on the side for fun and a little spending money. This is not me or my musicians. We are full time in the entertainment industry. The best way to book if your budget prevents you from booking who you really want is to negotiate.
