Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Date, time, location & type of party, number of guests, indoors or outdoors, accessibility of location(stairs, hills, fences).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
35 years of experience as a carnival worker and now a v.p. of a family owned & operated business.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Price is based on how far you are, number of hours of party, weekend or weekday, number of items rented, difficulty of load in/set up/load out.
How did you get started in this business?
Father started it and still is the current owner.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with all types of customers from all walks of life. 1000s of varieties of private parties, school carnivals, bar/batmitzvahs, corporate events, college parties, project midnights, pal league, charities, celebrities, weddings. Any person that has an event they need our services for.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We have events for celebrities, athletes, personalities that always come to mind but in this business the most fondest events are ALL of them. From the back yard birthday party to the celebrity, they all want to just have a company that is knowledgeable and will have the rentals they paid good money for to be ready before it starts.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they have insurance, see if your talking to a party planner, read the contract carefully if they have one. Some companies have a part that says they can arrive 3 hours after the job starts and they still get paid. Some also don’t show up because they got a better offer on the same day as yours, we get a lot of last minute calls and usually are able to help with something. Find out if they’re dropping it off or setting it up and watching it. If they’re dropping it off you need to know how to use it so get instructions on that. See if their is a person that will stay there and run the ride/game or else you will need a volunteer and you need them to have instructions on how to run it.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
biggest questions are; will it fit? How much room do I have? How many guests and how many guest will participate and can my guests participate in this event I’m doing? What kind of electricity do I have to power everything? Where will I place them? What are the requirements for everything I’m renting and what requirements does the venue need? What’s the accessibility of the venue and will the venue allow it?
