I'm a vinyl-centric DJ playing the best of music from multiple genres. From funk to country and everything in between: if it's good, I'll give it a spin! Records provide a unique listening experience, and if you want to give your event a one-of-a-kind, special soundtrack, then I'm your guy. I will work with you before and during the event to ensure I am playing the music you and your guests will enjoy. From a quiet, sophisticated background set to a full-on dance party, I can do it all! While I primarily play vinyl, I can easily incorporate digitally-sourced music for songs not available on vinyl. Again, I will work with YOU to create the ideal setlist for your event. Let me make your event a world-class affair!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with them in person, if possible, and discuss their pending event, what type of music their are looking for, and get to know them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in the music business for 20 years, as a record label executive, radio program host, producer, and writer. I have a wide knowledge base of music genres and have hosted events in major venues throughout the greater Nashville area.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Every event is different and I will work with the customer to price my services according to their needs. I have a full P.A. if needed and can set up anywhere with an electrical source.
How did you get started in this business?
My dad was a record collector, so I grew up collecting and enjoying vinyl. I began DJing in high school and never stopped!

I have hosted events at the ASCAP Awards After Party, Pollstar Convention After Party, Americana Music Association annual conference, NASHVILLE television show cast party, 94.5 Hippie Radio’s Pre-Mardi Gras Shrimp Boil, Ernest Tubb’s Record Shop, Willie Nelson’s 80th Birthday Celebration/CMT Taping at Third Man Records, Grimey’s New and Pre-Loved Music, The Groove Records, The Great Escape/Charlotte, Franklin Vintage Guitar Show, Puckett’s Lieper’s Fork, Memphis Record Convention, Adele's, Downtown Sporting Club, Acme Feed & Seed, and “Vino and Vinyl” ongoing series at City Winery Nashville.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Spinning at the opening weekend of the Downtown Sporting Club was a blast! Located on Lower Broadway, the opening weekend coincided with the 2019 NFL Draft. People from all over the country converged for a huge three-day celebration!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Talk with the DJ before hiring them and make sure they understand YOUR needs and and wants. If they will be providing the P.A./equipment, get a detailed list of what they will be providing. If you need M.C./hosting services, explain what you need and be sure the DJ understands and is confident and comfortable with the job.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think about your venue and estimated crowd size. Where will DJ be staged? Where should they load in and out? How long do you need them to perform? If this is a private event, are there any noise ordinances or curfews that you will need to observe?
