I have many certificates of advanced training in both permanent makeup and eyelash extensions. I try to attend yearly conventions with the SPCP.org, an organization that tries to establish a regulated 100 hour fundamental training period. Some states do not have a regulated training program, meaning they can watch a youtube video and open their shop. In my opinion and my research, you need at least a 100 hour fundamental class, followed by an apprenticeship program to include 5 to 10 procedures each of Eyebrows, Eyeliner, Lips and Corrective procedures to feel confidant in what you are doing.

I LOVE that clients will call me and tell me how much time they save in their daily makeup routine ! Also with clients who have had to undergo cancer of the breast and have had a mastectomy with re-construction, I can re-create a 3-D nipple/areola when the areola and nipple have been removed. To see just one client cry with joy, gives me more satisfaction than any monetary value can. I LOVE what I do !!
