Greg Luce Music
About
I've been a solo musician, looping, guitarist, and singer for 20 years. I also combine solo musician performance with DJing, or can do only DJ if so desired. Give me a call and we talk more about your needs.
It's my day job! Beats punching a clock ANY day! The best thing about doing what I do is seeing how I make a memorable event. Music is a powerful platform to entertain and I perform to the highest standards. I love to see how people really enjoy the experience when I get to enhance their event.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I make sure to ask all the right questions and listen to understand what the needs are. I communicate the necessary details in order ensure that the event will be performed to the client's desires and strive to make a lasting impression.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do have a BA in Music from Texas Tech, but my "street" experience has taught me more than I can ever learn in school, espeically how to treat others with respect and dignity.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Although most events have their own category, I don't charge just a flat fee. Instead, through the communication process I determine what is needed for the equipment, travel, set up, and possibly new songs to learn before I give a quote. As a guide, though, my average would be anywhere from $200-$350 per hour.
How did you get started in this business?
I've always loved playing and singing music. I started on piano when I was 8 and picked up guitar when I was 16. Throughout college, I wanted to perform and do more to further my career. 20 later I'm doing my job better than I have before I am always learning!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with everyone from doing backyard crawfish boils to wedding receptions, to even performing a serenade for a half hour. Anything you name, I have probably done it all.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have a family that I have done two years of Christmas parties. This last one was where I started the first two hours doing a solo performance, and then switching to DJ for the last two. They party was going so well that I continued for another 2 hours! That was so fun!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would say to make sure that you know what value you are getting. There are several good musician out there, but some that are just bidding for the lowest taker are doing you and themselves an injustice. The value I give will be worth it because I will bring profesionalism and pride to giving you to best performance possible.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Every customer should know what format they would like the performance to be (solo musician, DJ, MC, background music, etc.) and should know the time that they would like it take place. Along with those, the client should have a good idea of what budget they can work with and that the performer and can work with them to get all the possible components complied to make the event as excellent as possible.
