About
Hello and thank you for stopping by. My name is Michelle and I am your local area travling hairstlyist. I have been doing hair for a long time since my junior year in high school. So you can say that I really love what I do. Ive worked at a few hair salons, a couple of barber shop and a couple of kid oriented shops but nothing gives me more pleasure than to see a clients face with a big smile when I show up at their front door.
I have been going to peoples homes for about 20 years now. My first at home client was a girlfriend of mine from high school. As of today, Im still doing her hair but now not only do I do her hair, I do her kids, her kids childern and some neighbors around her neighborhood.
I am a one woman show when it comes to hair. My favorite thing to do in natural hair. The blowdrying and flat ironing of the hair is a challenge to me and I love a good challenge. I also like the cutting aspect of hair as well. To create a specific look for a client whether male, female or child is exciting for me. And the finished product is even better.
Let me be your future hairstylist for you, your family and your friends. Your home is my comfort zone for a masterpiece.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is getting to know the new client. They contact me and I call them back. We talk about what the condition of their hair is in and how I can make it better. We talk about the style they are looking for as a finished product and we also talk about products.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated top of my class in Cosmetology 1988
Certified in Brazillian Blowouts
Advanded color techniques
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My prices are not that much different than a regular hair salon. Although my prices are a little cheaper I believe in quality work. Everybody is tight with money these days so I keep my prices fair. And just like inflation, my prices do go up on a yearly basis.
How did you get started in this business?
I had alot of baby dolls as a child and I would always play with their hair. As I got older I started doing my own hair. Whem I was bored, I would shampoo my hair, blowdry it and then curl it. If I liked it I would cakr it with hairspray and leave it. If I didnt like it I would recurl and recurl and recurl until I like it.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with ALL kinds of customers. Men, women, kids, the elderly, black, white, asian, hispanic, nice, rude........you name it Ive worked with them.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had never done hair for a bride before. Thks particular event I was asked to do this lady's hair for her wedding hours before her wedding. Apparently the person that was suppose to be doing her hair was sick or something and could not make it. Inasked the bride what she wanted or how she wanted her hair done. She said at that point she did not care as long as it was beautiful. I said okay and went to work. Her entire wedding party and guess were talking about her hair and her dress all night. I ended up getting a few new clients out of that along with the bride as my regular.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would say just because a stylist does not have a lot of years behind him or her does not mean that they do not know what they are doing. We as stylist have to deal with alot of different attitudes and personalities on a daily basis. Just be kind and generous amd mindful of their time they took out for you.
