I was so happy to find Lanaya for a keratin treatment. My hair had developed dry, brittle, and frizzy areas. It seemed to happen over night for no known reason. The only thing that was different were the many vaccinations I had, covid, flu and shingles all in a very short period of time. I was getting ready to leave for a vacation in Belize (hot and humid). I knew my hair would be totally unmanageable there. So I sought help and found Lanaya. ❤️

I have a degree in cosmetology science and extensive training in a variety of techniques including matrix color, pravana color, keratin complex, barbecide, and braiding. These trainings have equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in my work.

How did you get started in this business?
When I was just six years old, I was given my first mannequin head and that's when my love for hair began. My dad taught me how to braid and I started braiding the hair of my friends and family. Despite not initially pursuing a career in beauty school, my passion for hair persisted. It wasn't until a family friend, who was also a cosmetologist, encouraged me to pursue my dreams that I finally attended the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute. Since then, my life has been transformed and I am grateful for those who saw my potential and encouraged me to pursue my passion.

As a hairstylist, I have had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of customers. From children to senior citizens, and everyone in between, I've had the opportunity to create styles for people of all ages and backgrounds. I've worked with customers who have different hair types, textures, and lengths, and I always strive to create a look that suits their individual needs and preferences. Whether someone wants a simple trim or a bold new color, I am always up for the challenge and excited to help my clients feel confident and beautiful.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
As a hairstylist, I recently had the pleasure of transforming a client's hair from dark to blonde in just one session. But I didn't stop there - I wanted to take it to the next level. I decided to add a beautiful red color on the ends while leaving the root blonde. This was a new technique I had been working on, and I was excited to see it come to life on my client's hair.
Throughout the process, I carefully monitored the hair's health and made sure to use high-quality products to maintain its integrity. My client was thrilled with the final result and couldn't stop raving about how much she loved her new hair. Seeing her walk out of the salon with a big smile on her face was incredibly rewarding, and it's moments like these that remind me why I love what I do.
