My business mantras
Great and friendly customer service! Service with a smile and respect for the customer is key.
Accountabilty is equally as important!! Do it till you get it right and do it with pride.
My designs have gone from the church house to the White House for President Clinton’s inauguration, so I figure you are doing pretty good when you make it to the White House, lol.
Im a creative at heart and a clothes designer by trade(though I wear many hats, lol), so the custom/creative aspect of my work just gets my juices going!
Working on set for commercial/editorial gigs as well as fashion shows are incredibly inspiring for me. I’m a freelance artist as well so I look for beauty and opportunities to create in my different things.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically set an appointment to meet face to face and detail the customers desires and expectations.
From there,if the project moves forward, my expectations, prices, etc are discussed and hopefully a very satisfied customer is the end result!🙂
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm mostly self taught, but a desire to learn more leads me to apprenticeships with a few local designers. One if which has a contact with the Olympic Games. I also trained under two Master Tailors in alteration shops as well as a class with Rory Duffy from Seville Row.

It has always been a desire to be a clothed designer and own my own art gallery as a child, the women in my family were regal and larger than life! Truly inspiring

I work with just about any type of customer, meaning body types for men women and children.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
There isn't any one particular event. There are several as I'm fond of doing charity events.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Learn the language, know if you need a "hem" or "taper" which is shorting the length or slimming the garment.
Understanding certain terms helps to ensure your desire service.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Access what their needs are as accurately as possible, and write things down if there are several concerns as not to forget anything.
Always ask turnaround times, and don't be afraid to ask for inexpensive alternative solutions.
