About

I am experienced in Protestant non-denominational church work. While not a vocational pastor at this time, I am actively engaged in my local church and enjoy the opportunity to officiate weddings.

I bring a personal approach to wedding ceremonies, and that combined with my personable nature has resulted in rave reviews from brides, grooms, and wedding attendees. You, your grandmother, and your crazy uncle with all love the ceremony.

There are few days more joyful than that of a wedding. Be it a small and intimate gathering or a large event, wedding ceremonies are momentous, and I'm always grateful to have a small part to play in their success.

Sam officiated our wedding in 2012. My husband and I both wanted a wedding that was personal, intimate and ultimately “about us”. Sam went above and beyond to help us put together a wedding ceremony that was true to our vision and meaningful. We were married at an outside venue, and I’ll never forget that at one point in the ceremony an ambulance drove by disrupting the service. Sam was quick to incorporate the sirens into his message; “Do you promise to love each other in good times and bad, and even in times of emergency...” It was one of the more memorable moments from the wedding. I would am grateful that we entrusted Sam with the task of officiating our wedding, and would highly recommend him.

    Frequently asked questions

After a quick email questionnaire we’ll hop on a phone or FaceTime call to get to know one another a bit better.

If the date and location work, we’ll discuss the details of the ceremony, create an outline, and make sure you’re comfortable with it.

If you’d like to meet in person prior to your wedding date, we can set that up as well.

I have been on staff at a couple different non-denominatinoal churches, where I was exposed to the process of wedding prep and officiating a wedding ceremony.

Pricing will depend on date and time, location, travel, and if the couple would like pre-martial counseling provided.

I first began officiating weddings as my friends were getting married and wanted an officant who was personable and would customize their ceremonies to fit their preference.

When and where you want to get married is the biggest item, as it will help quickly determine availability. The next item is their (and perhaps their family's) expectations of an officiant. Coming into the initial conversation with those things in mind will help set realistic expectations which set the stage for a successful wedding day.
