    Frequently asked questions

I like to talk to a couple before we set any dates. Once I have agreed to officiate for a wedding, I will meet with a couple a minimum of three times either in person or over zoom to do some premarital counseling and planning.

I've been a Lutheran pastor for over 25 years, a professor of theology for 20 years and am certified as a "Prepare-Enrich" premarital counselor.

I preside over weddings for a fixed fee of $250 plus the couple covers the $40 Prepare-Enrich online assessment fee, which is used as the basis of our premarital counseling.

I have done hundreds of weddings over my 25+ years of ministry.

I have done weddings, renewal of vows ceremonies, anniversary celebrations, and other special Christian ceremonies in the church as well as other locations.

I did a beautiful wedding overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the marine base near Oceanside in the spring of 2019. A couple asked me at the last minute and was willing to meet with me for my pre-marital counseling requirement. They were very pleased with what they learned to strengthen their marriage and loved the personalized ceremony.

I hope a couple will invest in their premarital preparation since their marriage is worth investing in. So it is important to find a minister who cares about a couple's future success and not just a ceremony.

Do you have time to meet several times before the wedding? Are you willing to do some work in order to have a successful marriage? Are you interested in having Christ as part of your marriage?
