About

My name is Scott Schaden and I am the Chef and owner of The Prep Kitchen Denver. Our services include catering and private chef dinners. We can handle grpups of any size from 4 to 100. We specialize in hand made pasta shapes and brass die extruded hand cut pasta shapes. We also do pop up events and cooking classes. While Modern Italian is our specialty we do all types of cuisines including but not limited to Spanish, Latin, French and all varieties of American. Don't forget to ask out our whole roast pig or lamb barbecues!

I was born and raised in Colorado. I have a deep connection to the state and it's agricultural industry and am closely connected to many local farmers and ranchers. After attending Johnson and Wales Culinary School I traveled to Italy to work in a multi month externship. I returned to Denver and after working in the local scene for several years I went to Chicago where I spent several years working at highly acclaimed restaurants and further perfecting my knowledge and skills.

I am professional and passionate. I firmly believe in the words of Michael Pollen "when we learned to cook for one another is when we became truly human". I bring years of experience and skill but more than that my passion is nourishment of body and mind through food.
