Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet many of my couples only by email but a personal meeting is included in my fee. I will do what ever I can to help my couples feel at ease and comfortable with the entire process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ordained Minister but I’ll perform any type of ceremony the couples prefer, religious or secular.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Prices start at $200.00 for local Charleston. I do charge for time and travel when out side of the Charleston area. I travel from Murtle Beach to Hilton Head.
How did you get started in this business?
my Grand daughter asked me to marry her to the love of her life. I felt so happy to do that and thought that since I was retired, I could do what I wanted. I wanted to do things that made me happy.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Barbara provided us with the perfect balance of guidance, suggestion and creative freedom in developing a unique ceremony for us that represented both of our backgrounds. She incorporated the crowns used in Greek Orthodox ceremonies as well as a hand fasting ritual to represent an Irish/Celtic tradition. Her words were meaningful and beautiful and we will always cherish our copy of the ceremony. She was easy to meet with and communicate with, and was always very professional and kind. I can’t say enough how delighted and thankful we were for everything she did to create our perfect ceremony, including teaching our moms how to tie the hand fasting chords into an infinity knot! Which we now have in a display to cherish forever. We 100% would recommend her for anyone’s wedding ceremony!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Take the time to get to know your pro. Price is not everything. This will be one of the most important days in your life. Go with someone who wants to make it as special as you do.
