After a career shift in 2022, I decided to pursue my passion for food professionally and enrolled at the Miami Dade College Culinary Institute. That journey eventually led me to focus on sushi and Japanese technique, where I developed a deep appreciation for precision, knife work, fish handling, rice preparation, and the craftsmanship behind the cuisine.
