About this pro

Micheal takes his time with each customer to design a  timeless tattoo that fits the person style & unique in its form. Each piece that's designed is is customized to the clients needs and never reduplicatd on another unless it's a matching or in a group of people looking to all have the same tattoos. After 25 years in the business every tattoo design is unique and that your experience is a great one where you are the only person where my attention is given 100% to as well as  Educating people when it comes to the process of tattooing and the healing and what to do with your tattoo when your

I love what I do and do what I love! After going to school and recieving 3 different degrees I wasn't passionate about I knew I had to do something to change that. Every experience when going to get tattooed never went like I planned. Many artists didn't give me time of day or where not willing to draw or help me come up with new and future designs for myself & the thought of even trying to Cover-up something was out of the question.Being passionate about art in general I knew there was a need to bring something to the table. After 2 years of  Apprenticeship I opened The Original Bigdaddytattoo and body piercing in 1997 in Sebring Florida and never looked backed. Now 23 years later and multiple magazine & newspaper publications I feel as much if not more passionate with the process and design when coming to tattooing. I draw every tattoo custom ,per person and dont ever reproduce the same piece twice and when it comes to my cover ups I guaranty my work to the point that I put my money where my mouth is.So when it comes to getting a tattoo weather it's your first or third when coming to my shop I make sure that it will be a timeless tattoo and an experience you will never forget.

I had an awesome experience...Michael took the picture I gave him and turned it into a work of art. I am so happy with how my tat turned out. It was beyond my expectation and would recommend him to anyone!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Discuss what the customer wants  the tattoo to represent and what kind of meaning or look they are going for as far as  A static and placement. Then go  over any references they may have or ones that I might  have in my large library. Ounce you decide on going foward with a design I take a deposit witch comes off the price of the tattoo and sets an appointment time for the tattoo. The design is drawn up for the day of your appointment and if any changes or improvements need to be added they are done before hand.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Michael is a published artist in numerous magazines and over a dozen newspapers for his skilled tattoo work in all styles. He has 25 years of experience and does beautiful work. He takes his time with each customer to design a timeless and 100% original custom tattoo, lensman or photographist that matches each persons individuals personality and provide Timeless art.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

The shop  Minimum is $80 and for smaller  tattoos we charge by size ,shape &detail. For larger tattoo pieces we charge $150 an hour.

How did you get started in this business?

I started my apprenticeship at 22 to 23 years old and Hollywood Florida under Memphis Mike. I was taught in many styles including how not to cross contaminate and the saying  What's a plumber if they don't know their own tools hence the fact of being taught how to make needles and build tattoo machines properly. If I couldn't  make my own needles I wasn't aloud to use one and the same when it came to building  my own machines like the saying what is a plumber that don't know his own tools certainly applies to tattooing as well.Feeling the need to want to raise the bar when it came to the  Experience and the quality of a tattoo was needed.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with a variety of customers and ride range from custom drawn pieces from the size of a quarter  to coverups to doing  full sleeves and full body suits to  photo Realism, Traditional ,Japanese, New school and black and gray to much more you name it I draw it one drawing per customer to design a timeless tattoo not a tattoo for the time . It's never a good time to get a tattoo when it's a last minute decision. I've tattooed pro bmxers pro skaters , Motorcycle clubs nurses teachers and as far as permanent makeup goes I do  that as well. As an artist my main concern is to design a tattoo that suits the person's personality and will be something that is meaningful to that person. I like to design what the client wants not what I don't want to do the whole reason I got into tattooing was nobody would ever do coverups ,tie ins  or listen to me when I described what I actually wanted for a tattoo so 7 x cover UPS later and 23 years later of Tattooing I still applie my concepts and ideas .

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

The best experience was with a 70 year old man from warwar 2 had and had come in with an old green blown out bulldog tattoo that nobody would rework for him. As he explained to me that hes gone to over a dozen shops and everyone's turned him down I told him to sit down and enjoy himself and let me do my magic .The tattoo  looks brand new and looks better than the day he got it and just to see the look on his face made me feel complete cause of knowing that this man had fought for our country and got what he wanted made my day!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Make sure that they're not an apprentice and that they make sure that you will look over there sterilization process and the cleanliness of their business as well as how knowledgeable they are in their field a 1 on 1 experience is the best way to find out if the person is knowledgeable when just being able to ask basic questions and not feel like your a bother.

The sure sign of a good artist is one his willingness to spend his time with you and not tell you pick it we stick it something off the wall someone who's willing to listen to you about what it means to you as well as what kind of research you've pit into what kind of work and your design that you really want to get done and only when you're getting your tattoo but your than main focus of getting to design 1 on 1 not in a business where there's a bunch of people hanging out and you can not concentrate because there's too much going on. To be in a controlled environment with an up beat atmosphere where you can enjoy your first or second tattoo experience in the parlor.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

What style what type placement and positioning of the piece and how the tattoo will look on the body with get flow and perception and movement it needs to make it a great tattoo and if you ever plan to have anything added to it as well in tje future. Placement is everything you want the piece to fit now with a person's style but where it is on their body you want to be able to see the subject matter through the whole tattoo not a tattoo where you can't even tell what it is.Its important to me that the customer gets exactly what they want and where they want it and the design is drawn up exactly how they wanted it.
