Marsheila is a pleasure to work with. She has served as my seamstress, personal shopper and stylist since 2003. I've used her services to hem my clothes to ensure I have a tailored fit. She always answers all of my questions promptly and has wonderful, age-appropriate suggestions for my wardrobe. Even when I questioned her vision, she would show me alternate pieces and pictures of looks that I like to make sure I am comfortable. Working with her over the years, she has pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me to incorporate different colors in my wardrobe and helped me to accessorize to achieve the look that I desire whether at work or at play. Not only is she a professional with a reputation above reproach, she is a wonderful example of style and class. I continue to learn from her and admire her timeless style in business and fashion. You will be very pleased with the service you receive!

I would highly recommend Marsheila for anything fashion related. This lady made a beautiful dress for me without having laid eyes on me. All she had was basically height, weight, and estimates on measurements from my boyfriend. The dress turned out amazingly! Thanks, Marsheila!

Marsheila has a gift for fashion and pulling out the confidence in you with her stylings. She takes her time to listen to your ideas to execute your vision. Also, Marsheila opens your eyes to styles that you wouldn't ordinarily wear. It's truly a blessing to get the Marsheila touch!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We generally speak by phone initially where the customers shares their need with me and I explain or advise whether or not I can meet that need within the desired time frame.  Then we discuss convenient dates and times for initial meeting. I answer any questions they might have about payment or scheduling.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelors of Science in fashion merchandising with a minor in marketing from Middle Tennessee State University I have been sewing since the age of 13. I have been tailoring, styling and shopping for people, friends family and others since College. Most recently as of 2014 I received continuing education  certification from Clayton State University in digital media and have worked on 12 independent film projects where I was wardrobe lead on each project . My responsibilities included construction, aging , altering, and or resourcing of garments.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I do have a standard price list for alterations as most of them are repetitive.  Services however for custom jobs require a quote which is created for the customer once I have a clear understanding of the desired garment. Pricing is then based upon the simplicity or complexity of the project and the goods to be used.
