About

I have been a non-denominational minister and a professional wedding officiant for more than 50 years. I create a unique custom and personalized ceremony for every couple. I love working with any couple in love, including same-sex, interracial, or intercultural. One of my specialties is working with couples who are looking for something "outside the box" such as a themed wedding or an unusual location. I have enjoyed officiating at a Dungeons & Dragons themed wedding and I've also officiated in a mausoleum at a historic cemetery. My job is to give a couple exactly what they are dreaming of and I always go the extra mile to see that it happens.

    Frequently asked questions

After our initial contact by phone or email, I send sending a questionnaire for the couple to fill out. This questionnaire gathers a great deal of information from them that allows me to personalize the ceremony and make it all about them. I do not have a pre-written generic ceremony already in a book, Every ceremony is created for each couple, from the simplest elopement to the most elaborate ceremony. Once I have this information, except for short notice weddings, I create 3 example custom ceremonies and a binder full of options for vows, ring exchange, unity ceremonies, prayers and blessings (if requested), etc., all of which can be customized. I then schedule a consultation so that I can sit down with the couple and go over everything in detail. After the wedding ceremony I sign the license and take it with me so that I can get it filed and recorded within the time limits set by the state of GA. I send a copy to the couple attached to an email the gives them all the information and links they need in order to make necessary name changes.

I was ordained as a minister in the Unitarian Church in 1971 just so I could perform weddings. In the past 52 years I have done over 6500 weddings.
My pricing structure is based on the type of service and the time of the ceremony. My bottom price is for a basic Sign & Go ceremony that is only the two elements required by law in GA and signing the licence. My top price is for a full, traditional wedding including a rehearsal. The lowest fee is $175.00 and the top fee is up to $700.00, including rehearsal. There usually are no additional fees, such as travel fees, unless the drive is more than 90 minutes.
I've worked with every kind of couple imaginable. I do a great deal of work with same-sex and alternative couples, interracial couples, and inter-cultural couples. I've worked in many unusual locations such as the Skyview Ferris Wheel in downtown Atlanta, standing in the middle of a creek in a local park, on top of Stone Mountain at 6:00am, and of course, the majority of the wineries in North GA. There have been weddings in museums, restaurants, and even in the back seat of a car.
I recently did a ceremony for a couple who wanted a custom written Unity Ceremony because they were designing and building a large, heavy sword. They also added a handfasting to the wedding and tied the cords around the hilt of the sword they were holding together in their hands.
