About
I see every ceremony as a "moment of a lifetime". All the festivities that come after the ceremony are really meant as a celebration of what happens IN the ceremony. Every ceremony should be a meaningful, memorable, and fun experience that fully engages a couple and their guests. How we get from your ideas for your ceremony to the live event involves a commitment to a ceremony that is genuine to you, my guidance that includes not only decades of experience but an openness to emerging trends, and a unique process that produces a complete script for your ceremony. But the live event is more than the sum of these different parts. It also includes my ability to be "in the moment" for your ceremony and years of experience with 'ad libbing' if something unexpected happens or to add emphasis where needed. I have over 30 years experience officiating weddings in both church and non church settings.
I enjoy meeting couples and becoming a collaborator and resourcer to develop a wedding ceremony that exceeds their expectations. I love hearing from couples as their excitement grows in the process. And in the ceremony, I love when a packed room falls so silent you could hear pin drop and I love equally as much when the room erupts into laughter. I savor the moments when both couples and guest, some with tears in their eyes still come after the ceremony to tell me how much the ceremony meant to them. This is a true celebration of love. Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually suggest that a couple meet with me for a free one hour consultation. This can be in person, on the phone, or via Videochat (Skype, Google Hangouts). During this time I learn what a couple is looking for in their ceremony. I also explain my process for designing a full customized ceremony by offering wording options for every part of the ceremony.
