About
I specialize in creating meaningful and personal wedding ceremonies to make your day special. The wedding ceremony is what legally marries you, so you want it to be great. I have been marrying all types of couples since 2014. I do Jewish weddings, interfaith weddings, non-denominational weddings, same sex weddings, and weddings with a mix of rituals chosen by the couple. You can see some reviews and photos at my website on the wedding page at www.rabbijudymusic.com
I love seeing couples in love ready to start a new life together. It is so important that they have someone they can trust and talk to as they approach this most meaningful and special time in their lives. It is always an honor for me to be asked to be an officiant at a wedding.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually speak to the couple on the phone, on the web or through email initially. I send them an extensive questionnaire to fill out so that I can get to know them better. There are questions about how they met, what they like about each other, what kind of ceremony they envision, etc. I am also a certified Prepare-Enrich Counselor and can offer pre-marital counseling if requested. Once hired, I am available to answer any questions they have, make suggestions about rituals that may enhance their ceremony, give information about how the ceremony will flow. I then facilitate the signing of all legal paperwork and file it properly after the wedding.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ordained Rabbi and am licensed to perform weddings. I have performed weddings all over Louisiana, in Texas and in Mexico. I am a certified Prepare-Enrich Counselor and am currently studying to become a Certified Life Coach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My minimum fee is typically $250. This fee will increase depending on how far I need to travel to do your wedding. If travel is necessary, all costs involved with travel (mileage/flight, lodging, food, ground transportation, parking fees) are the responsibility of the client.
How did you get started in this business?
As ordained clergy, it is one of my favorite things to do.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all sorts of couples. Couples who are the same religion, couples in interfaith relationships, same sex couples, couples renewing their vows, couples from two different cultures who wanted to combine traditions at their wedding ceremony, etc. I have done both conventional and unconventional weddings. I am not afraid to think out of the box and help make your wedding what you want it to be.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you are comfortable with the officiant you hire. Make sure they listen to you and that you are at ease talking to them. Make sure they are accessible if you have questions. Be willing to pay for the services of an officiant. This is not something to cut corners on....the ceremony they craft is what makes you married, not all the other frills people tend to spend lots of money on. A good officiant is worth every penny.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How do you envision your ceremony? What sort of rituals or traditions do you want to incorporate? Who will participate? Are there any sensitive issues that I should know about? Will you write your own vows? Are you both exchanging rings? Is the venue you have chosen adequate for your ceremony? Is there a microphone so everyone can hear? Do you have a Plan B if weather is not good? How much do you have to spend?
