About

We are chefs Weston Smith and Catherine Olsen, together known as Local Effort. Our emphasis is on local and seasonal food and ingredients.

We're available as a personal chefs: for events and special occasions up to 100 people, for home dinners, and as instructors and as coaches. We can also offer weekly meal prep, on a short term or longer term basis.

We love to bring a little restaurant hospitality to your home. We've got a handful of fancy gadgets and tools, we don’t compromise on ingredients, and we get joy out of trying to recreate someone's favorite dish, or attempting dishes outside of our experiences or traditions.

Collectively, we have 30 years of experience with fine foods. When you're working with us, the food is always better.
