I am glad to work with couples on their special day. Couples of all shapes, sizes and life experiences ought to have a clergy person who is professional and light-hearted to officiate their ceremony. I've been a Lutheran minister for more than 20 years, which means I've worked with and seen it all - church/chapel weddings, back yard weddings, farm weddings, living room weddings, beach weddings, etc. I'm happy to do blended family blessings for couples bringing children to the marriage so that the whole family feels included. I'm happy to work with church goers of all denominations or folks who haven't been since they were kids. No bible-thumping but plenty of God's grace and hope for His children on their wedding day.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with email or phone calls. I normally meet with the couple in person once or twice (an hour each time), depending on the complexity of their service. I can provide a wedding service outline, should they want one, or I can work with a wedding director to cover all the bases.
If couples are not based in the Charlotte area, we can work a Zoom or Skype video meeting online to keep things easy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a M.Div. degree and am a called pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America - NC Synod. I've been a member of the Matthews-Mint Hill community since 1999. I've married 100+ couples in my years of serving as a pastor.
