I’m Rod Arters, an ordained minister, author, and lover of great love stories. Before officiating, I always prefer a brief conversation or in-person meeting to get to know you as a couple — your story, your quirks, and what makes you you. This isn’t just a ceremony; it’s a sacred (and joy-filled) moment in your life, and I want to get it right. It’s hard to get it right when the first time I meet/interact with you is on your big day.

I bring humor, heart, and a highly personal touch to each wedding I officiate. I also provide the following four things:

1) A copy of Marriage 101: How to Marry Well (a short booklet I’ve written)

2) A list of my Top 10 Book Recommendations for building a strong, lasting marriage.

3) A lighthearted, meaningful ceremony you’ll actually remember (and laugh during).

4) Support that goes beyond the big day. Marriage is hard and if you need to talk to someone after the honeymoon period is over, my rates are way cheaper than a therapist. :)

Sure, you might find someone less expensive to officiate your wedding — but you won’t find someone more fun, more thoughtful, or more invested in making this moment uniquely yours.
