Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After you’ve decided to reach out to us, we’ll schedule time for a brief meeting (<30 minutes) to dig a little deeper into your project needs, ideas, and any other specifics. Don’t worry if you’re not completely sure what you want - that’s why we’re here!
After our initial meeting, our team will drill down into specifics, and create a general project outline of the path we see forward. Once that is agreed upon, we'll create a detailed project roadmap that lays out exactly what will happen from that point forward - including all shoot dates, times, schedules, edit timelines, and final delivery specs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been in business for over 10 years, and have worked with clients across the globe. Many of our clinets have continued to work with us for this entire time, becasue they know we get the job done right, on-budget, and on-time.
All of the team members at Consequence have degrees in Film or Communications, with many holding additional advanced certificates in various production fields.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We bill our shoot days by the entire day (though in some cases half-day rates may be available). Preproduction and post-production time is billed hourly.
Our clients will receive a comprehensive estimate before work begins and will have the opportunity to adjust their project desires from that point. Once work begins, we typically require a 50% deposit from first-time customers. The deposit requirement may be waived for return clients.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work mostly with larger companies and corporations to help them create messaging for whatever their needs may be: product reviews or launches, customer testimonials, executive profiles, and additional branded content.
We create content for both web and broadcast distribution.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Not all production teams are created equally. Some teams are simply better suited to some jobs than others - don't be afraid to ask around. Be wary of quotes for work that are significantly cheaper than others, do your homework, ask questions to be sure you and the production team are aligned with all of your goals
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Timeline, budget, expectations for the final product, the overall goal of the project (why are we creating this video?). Also, budget again - there are many aspects of prodcution that can conspire to raise the overall cost. We do our best to lay all of these out for our clients, but it's something to consider.
