What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Potential clients can contact us electronically or by phone to set up an appointment or consultation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jinx, the tattoo artist, has been tattooing for over 25 years and has won numerous awards for her work.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
For designs that are drawn up beforehand or traced off the rate is $125 an hour. For freehand designs, re-works, or cover ups the rate is $150 an hour. All tribal work is an additional $25 an hour.
How did you get started in this business?
Jinx started learning the art of tattooing from an acclaimed artist in Minnesota. She helped start his first tattoo shop and worked with him until 2006 when she went out on her own.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Everyone from 18 to 86.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Always check the artist's portfolio to make sure they can create the style that you are looking for. Talk to them in person before making an appointment to make sure you are both comfortable with each other and you understand each other.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are they looking to get? Where do they want the tattoo? What style do they prefer? How big do they want it? What colors (if any) do they want in it?
