Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a FREE consultation to discuss your desires and expections. We customize each clients needs to the individual. I go over the process in detail and we talk about shapes, styles and color choices, and risks and ways to plan for your new procedure.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my training in 1999 at the Permanent Cosmetics Institute. I took my training in Burbank, CA. After that, I did a 100 hour apprenticeship. I've attended specialized trainings in various aspects of Permanent Makeup and adhere to yearly OSHA requirment of health and safety.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Please visit my website for pricing.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Customers come from all demographics and ethnicticities. I have many clients in healthcare, doctors, nurses, plastic surgeons, and other professions.
Permanent makeup is perfect for anyone with a busy, active lifestyle, athletic types, with physical disabilities that have difficulty applying makeup, or those with allergies to conventional makeup
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Definitely do your research. Some artists are very new in the business and may have only attended a 2 day class or taken an online course only is one technique.
Don't commit to a procedure until you've had a thorough consultation and seen a portfolio of thier work. Be sure that the entire process is explained to you. Touch ups should be included in their fee.
Some clients may have conditions or be on medication that these procedures may not be suitable for.
Never choose price over experience. Cheap prices often equate to limited experience, or they may not even be licensed. In Texas, we are required to operate under the Department of Health, under a licensed "Tattoo Studio". The lisence should be clearly displayed in plain sight. They cannot come to your home or offer mobile services. Nail salons are notorious for offering unlicensed services.
Do your homework.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
It's important to come to a consultation with specific and realistic expectations. We are here to help you choose styles and colors that will complement your natural features. Our goal is not to take over your decision making. We work with you to design the right look for you.
Always look at actual photos of a technicians work. Look at reviews on YELP too. See what others have experienced with this technician.
Know exactly what is included in the fee. Guarantees about actual color rentention cannot be made. Permanent makeup is always a multi session process to complete. Adjustments to shape and color are made over the follow ups.
