Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically sit down with an engaged couple and go over thier background and history, and what they want from their wedding ceremony. I help them find the Scripture(s) that best bring forward the themes they want to highlight for their wedding and their marriage. I also offer to guide them through pre-marital discussions about faith, in-laws, kids, money, conflict resolution and sexuality.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in religion from The University of the South, in Sewanee, TN, and a master of divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO. I have over 20 years of experience in ministry and in performing wedding ceremonies.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
$300 for a wedding ceremony.
$100 for a rehearsal.
How did you get started in this business?
I felt a call to ministry when I was in high school. I majored in religion in college and then taught school for a couple of years before going into full time youth ministry. After two years in full time ministry I decided that this was my calling, so I attended seminary in order to solidify my understanding of God's Word. I was ordained in 1999 in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with engaged couples to plan their wedding and prepare them for a lifetime of growing faith and love.
