I very much enjoy meeting with couples and getting to know them. It also gives me a great sense of fulfillment when I conduct a wedding ceremony that touches the hearts of those in attendance. I would use the words "personal," "joyful" and "heartfelt" to describe the mood I strive to provide....but never silly or flippant.
I think what makes my ceremonies effective is that I do my best to have a real, not artificial, connection to the couple. Regardless of whether they are religious or not, I hope for them to come away feeling that the ceremony was transformative in their relationship and not just a lot of blah, blah, blah before the party.
