I think it was the holistic approach rather than just the day of officiating that created the best experience. Dave did our pre-marital counseling for multiple sessions and with a curriculum that really gave us some strong foundations for a strong and healthy marriage. There were so many lessons learned that we still use to this day. This I think also builds that relationship between couple and pastor, which makes the day of message more meaningful and full.
