What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I suggest the best way to choose an officiant is by seeing if you and your fiance feel a good connection with me. Therefore, the first step is typically chatting on the phone (or via Skpe or FaceTime).
Our first face to face meeting is similar to a first date - figuring out whether we would like to work together.
Two or three more meetings are typically sufficient for me to craft your personalized ceremony.
I have also officiated for couples at the last moment - when their officiant got sick or backed out.

Howard has been a prayer leader since high school. A ritual officiant since the last millennia. He wrote a wedding column for the San Francisco BayTimes newspaper. He was a Wexner Heritage Fellow and Kevah/Steinsaltz Talmud Circle Fellow. He has been published by the UAHC press and was a contributor to and on the Editorial Review Committee of Siddur Sha'ar Zahav. He was the recipient of the a Young Leadership award in recognition of serving on numerous boards, including being President of the local Day School.
