What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I sit down with new customers and I get a history of skin allergies and any medical conditions I also test my inks topically on them first to make sure that they are not allergic
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've currently been tattooing since 2001 and just had the anniversary of how long I've been tattooing so 16 years now. I've known by many of my customers to be extremely light handed and proficient in not only the craft but my bedside manner and working with them if they're going through the struggle in this sometimes we do go through and getting tattoos in horrible ridiculously sensitive areas over length of time I also provide for a fee a topical antiseptic if requested
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge by the piece not by the hour and I charge less for bigger pieces where I can use larger needles and go faster and not have to wear bifocals and do single needle Line work
How did you get started in this business?
At a young age got introduced to tattooing with a homemade tattoo machine and gave not only myself tons of just horrible horrible tattoos but all my friends had horrible horrible tattoos too. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My experience is that cheap tattoos aren't good and good tattoos aren't cheap if you are just looking to get the itch fixed and don't care what your living Masterpiece looks like then by all means go to the back alley behind the liquor store and ask the crackhead to tattoo you I'm sure he will for a small fee and you get to live with his Creations for the rest of your life ...Choose Wisely
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What a customer should know or at least have some idea of the type of tattoos that they're going to want in the area on which it will be going and very possibly the background of that particular style of tattooing such as gang ties political ties and so on and so forth
