About
A wedding should be one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences in life. Especially for the Bride and Groom. I have officiated many weddings. I believe my job as the wedding officiant is to help make the wedding ceremony a sweet and happy experience for everyone involved. It brings me a lot of joy to be a part of that. If the bride and groom are loving the whole experience, then everyone else will be doing the same.

Rick did an absolutely AMAZING job marrying me and my wife, Callie on Hutchinson Island in April 2023. He showed up early and was well prepared to help make our day everything we imagined. He is very well spoken and has a great sense of humor, while being very professional and courteous. He is a great man and I’d recommend him to anyone looking for someone to officiate their wedding!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Customers call me, or request a call from me, and we begin the process of deciding exactly what they want their wedding to look like. We decide whether the wedding venu is in or outdoors. We decide if the wedding is a big church, formal event, or if it is a beach or a back yard experience. I have officiated so many weddings that even if the couple has no clue where to begin, I can walk the wedding party through the process from beginning to end. Some couples have a wedding coordinator involved. In that case I work closley with the coordinator to create the wedding that the bride and groom are dreaming of. If there is no wedding coordinator hired, no problem. I can organize and orchestrate the wedding ceremony from begining to end.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with and counseled couples of all ages for over 30 years. I have been officiating weddings since I was in my mid twenties. So I have officiated many diffrerent kinds of weddings with many different kinds of couples. I understand what makes a wedding special.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge a base fee of $250 to officiate a wedding. If I have to travel over 20 miles, I will need to add a small reasonable fee to help cover my mileage expenses. If there is a rehearsal that I need to attend, I charge a rehearsal fee of $100. If desired, I can provide a high-quality portable Bose sound system for music during your wedding ceremony, indoors or outside, for an additional modest fee. If my prices are too steep for your budget, please tell me. I never want money to be an issue when it comes to weddings.
How did you get started in this business?
I was a youth pastor and have been a pastor for many years. People in my church and others from the surrounding area began asking me to officiate their weddings. That is how it began.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All Types. Wealthy, not so wealthy, and everything in between. I just love people of all types.
