Talega Atelier's goal is to make your creative mind fuse with our design eye and expertise! We strive to make you feel confident in your own skin, beautiful and unique as you are; no matter your size, age or gender, our garments are made to fit only you!

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Melanie Figueroa started her design journey at 16 years old. She attended Lisa Thon School of Fashion Design while in high school and took Haute Couture courses with local Fashion Designer, Marta Gutierrez. Once completed, she moved to Miami, FL. to attend Miami International University of Art and Design and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.

After graduating she's freelanced and worked full time with numerous companies as Apparel Designer, Technical Designer, Textile Designer, Pattern maker, Sample maker, Illustrator and Apparel Graphic Designer. Her passion, however, has always been the beauty of creating a most beautiful garment for that one special event.

We want to see your ideas and find a way to make them come to life (with our little twist, of course) A little drama never hurts! Our aim is to make the process of creating your garment an experience you will remember.
