Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At 1st contact we discuss exactly what you are looking for. Then I will draw up & plan out your vision. Then from there the magic begins.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was born with the gift of artistry. Over the years my gift turned into a passion. A passion of working with food to create a delicious experience that is also pleasing to the eye.
I have had customers refuse to cut into thier cake due to not wanting to destroy the art of it. That always brings a smile to my face. Once they do make the 1st cut, and taste my creation, it is non stop after that.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
As most of my creations are custom, it is hard to have a " standard" price. But being that I do mostly cakes, I do start off with a basic customary price as all bakeries do.
How did you get started in this business?
When I was head Chef at a local resturant, one of my cooks seen a display I was doing for an event. She asked me if I had ever worked with fondant before. I had no clue what fondant was. She told me her passion was baking and that I should help her with one on her cake orders and try it out.
From there I discovered a new medium for my artistic abilities. The rest is history.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have done everything from elegant wedding cakes to baby showers.
I also enjoy being a personal chef.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Never, never go to a grocery store for a cake. Unless of course you like pre-made frozen cakes & frosting from a tub.
Any real bakery will work with you to find a price that fits your budget.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
